Location
The lodge is located in a private quiet corner of the estate, with the woods to one side and a large open lawn to the other (great for games). The loch and beach are about 30 feet in front of the lodge, with the jetty around 50 feet or so further on. There are fantastic views in all directions.
Boating
The estate has two slipsway - one to the south and another to the north. Both slips have jetties next to them for loading and unloading and temporary tie-ups. If you require a mooring please contact the estate management company direct for availability and prices.
Loch Lomond is undoubtably the UK's finest boating lake. Its over 22 miles long and covers an area of over 18,000 acres. There are public jetties at Balloch, Duck Bay, Balmaha, Luss, Rowardennan, Tarbet, Inversnaid and Ardlui, allowing you to tour the area by boat. Remember to get a license for your boat however - this is free and can be obtained in the National Park Centres in Balloch, Balmaha and Luss.
The Rowardennan Inn
The Rowardennan Inn is situated just beside the estate, within 3 minutes walk of the lodge. It has two bars, a restaurant and a beer garden with fabulous views north over the Loch to Tarbet. A good standard of food is available - great if you don't want to cook everyday.
