Red Circle

Overview

Michael Brown approached us to create an identity for his very niche business, Red Circle, which involved the liaison, negotiation and importing of diamond cutting tools form East Asia. With an extensive background in his field, Michael had a very established business but no identity to represent it to his contacts and clients.

The Brief

To produce a contemporary, culturally-transcending identity that would communicate his professionalism. Michael’s business is sourced in Korea, hence the name Red Circle, but he was open to using this obvious visual in a more abstract way.

Results

We went on to produce a bold, striking identity which consisted of both a logo and an icon. We worked the logo around a red circle cut into a square and then used it to form the dot over the ‘i’ in ‘red circle’ and to create a high impact design on the business cards. Over time this identity should carry itself, using just the icon without the business name to still be recognisable to the market.

The identity was applied to Stationery and Business Cards, creating a cutting-edge look which Michael was extremely pleased with.

Michael commented:

"I asked Printing.Com to design a new logo for my company Red Circle with only a very general brief. The result was a great effort which has been commented on by customers and competitors alike as creating a positive, modern image for my company.

After several drafts and feedback we
hit on the right combination of style and
format. The commitment and support from Printing.com was excellent in taking my vague idea to a finished logo."
