Overview

SAAS is a local charity which provides
free support and counseling to anyone experiencing problems with alcohol and training and education to health and community workers.

The Brief

To create a fresh and approachable range
of marketing materials which would be used to both promote the services on offer whilst also provide counseling materials for
health workers.

It was vital that the materials would allow clients to relate to the various messages
and information without being either condescending or overly corporate.

Results

We went on to produce a funky new
look for SAAS which made use of arty illustrations and a 'retro' colour palette.
In particular, the 'Finger Squidger' was produced as a soft and fun approach to evoking discussion about alcohol abuse issues and went on to win the team the 'Cutting Edge' category in the Annual
Design Awards 2008.

SAAS commented:

as part of an information pack for people drinking in potentially risky ways – it’s received positive feedback from GPs
and other front line workers. A real
success story!"
