Our company, Mileeven, is located in the beautiful countryside of South County Kilkenny, just outside the village of Owning. The name "Mileeven" comes from the Irish "mil" and "aobhainn" which means delightful or delicious honey and the Owning area has been a rich source of honey for generations.
We began as bee-keepers, selling what we produced, straight from the bees to the consumer. People always enjoyed what they got, and came back for more. We knew that what people came back for was the natural taste and quality. We also knew that there were many more good ingredients and traditional recipes to be found, as well as new ideas. So we set to work to bring you a range of Fine Foods, from the very simple Pure Irish Honey, through to the gourmet range of Honeys, Organic Preserves, Fruit Cakes and Christmas delights.
