 LRC

Our Library and Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is continuing to grow! We already provide a vast array of resources which are available throughout the school day to all our staff and students.

There is a wide variety of fiction titles (including audio books) that cover a wide range of reading abilities and tastes. The non-fiction section covers school stuff as well as hobbies and interests. We also provide a selection of magazine titles including computers, sports and science. We have four popular daily newspapers and the weekly Rugby Advertiser to keep up to date with news and current affairs.

We also have computers with internet access available for school use in accordance with the schools Acceptable Use Policy.

Students may use the LRC at breaks, lunchtimes, before and after school. All students need to do is produce their catering card (which also acts as their borrowing card) to gain admission.

Bilton School is currently trialing a database that allows us to access all national, most regional and some international and foreign newspapers – online!

Benefits are;

  • The newspapers span back 10 or 15 years; making this a great research tool for staff and students!

  • It keeps students up-to-date; one of the functions include What’s-Hot-at-the-Moment links giving you up-to-date articles on the Californian forest fires and the Indonesian Earthquake.
