About Us

Established in 1946 by Patrick Brown, Paddy’s Paints is one of the last traditional paint manufacturers in Britain and remains the independent family business that has successfully served the trade, industrial, corporate and domestic markets with a range of paints, solutions and ancillary products, simply unrivalled in those markets we serve.

We are creators and manufacturers of mass-market products as well as providing unique solutions that have formed the basis of an ever-increasing international reputation. As always, we continue to strive for innovative ideas to solve the many new challenges directed at us.

Although we are selling more water-based products, working hand-in-hand with trade and regulatory organisations to reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), we pride ourselves on manufacturing traditional lead-based products for which there remains a strong demand. We are of course, committed to helping with the issues of VOCs, recyclable products and associated "Green" matters.

We use the finest ingredients and manufacture to traditional methods and formulations, whilst continuing to test the contemporary technical opportunities that exist to create new and exciting paint and coating products for our customers.

We've been around, successfully, for a long time. We have managed this by not only using our technical and research capabilities, but by being intuitive, creative, flexible and approachable.
