I qualified as a vet in 1999 and have worked as a small animal vet ever since. For the last five years I’ve lived and worked in Lancashire, with my two pooches and two moggies. (introductions later!!) Having worked in practice since I qualified, I have found there is a great need for routine veterinary care in the home. Life today for most families is hectic and sometimes getting to the vet is just a plain old hassle. Not to mention stressful, particularly for the infirm or disabled. Some older pets simply get frightened at the vets and it becomes a negative experience for everyone involved. As a vet and pet owner, I believe passionately in good quality healthcare. My philosophy is to treat all pets as I would expect my own to be treated. I believe pets deserve the best from us. Let me introduce you to my beloved 4! Poppy is my 8 year old lurcher cross who is soft as putty, loves steak and carrots and would chase a ball from dawn to dusk! She is faithful and wise. Little Bob is my naughty 2 year old terrier who lost his leg in a bad car accident .I was the vet who cared for him and ended up taking the little tyke home! He lives to chase rabbits and is more faithful to his big sister Poppy than me! Tandia is my beautiful fluffy moggie number 1. She came along as an 8 week old stray and had been hit by a car. Poppy did a beautiful job of bringing her up but she does beg like a dog! Bryony is the latest edition to my furry family and is slowly getting used to the chaos. Her previous owner died and she was left on the street. Now her favourite spot is prime place on my sofa! Now you’ve met my inspiration, let me meet yours!
