Q I was wondering if there is any further information on the off road course. The leaflet says it is within the showground but what types of obstacle does it include?

A The off road course at Newark is being dug and landscaped specially for the show. It  will challenge your axles and driving ability, with hills and holes etc, there will also be a mud run. Work will commence next week and we expect to have it finished at the end of April. We will be carrying features in the magazine to show the work being done, so look out for the May and June issues.

Q Just wondering if dogs are allowed at the show, we have a jack Russell pup who we would like to bring with us, he would be on a lead at all times.
Also my wife is disabled, and can only get around by means of an electric scooter. Are these allowed at the show too?

A Your puppy will be welcome at the show, as you say under control and on a lead, it goes without saying please clean up after him :0)
The show ground has very good access for people with disabilities. Your wife's scooter will get around with very little problem

Q Does the one night camping fee ie friday night inc entry to show friday and saturday?

A One night camping is from 5pm to 5pm the following day
Therefore it works out as £15 per night plus a day ticket worth £10 for the saturday). You will be allowed into the show area for after show activities on the friday evening after 5pm
(the same would apply with saturday night camping, and saturday after show activities with sunday show entry)

Q Will there be electric hook-up available for campers as I am disabled and I have an electric chair that I use to go round shows?

A Yes
There will be hook up and the Newark Showground is very wheelchair friendly.

Q I completed the survey, the issue of parking, or rather the lack of, for disabled Day Visitors. What little parking there was for disabled, was clogged with traders vehicles,what will the situation be at Newark?

A Newark Showground as loads of parking space, and disabled parking will be next to the show entry gate. There will be marshals ensuring there is no abuse of the disabled parking area

Q I am interested in bringing my Land Rover and Caravan to the Land Rover MAX show and would like to know if dogs are allowed in the camping area?

A Yes
Properly controlled of course with a lead. No dogs on the dangerous breed list allowed.

Q Yesterday I got the link for booking the show in July. I have been to billing in 2007 (- it was very wet) and remember that LRM subscriber  gets a discount on the booking.
Is this possible this year?

A As this year there is a "global economic crisis!" we decided to keep the price down for all the show visitors.
There will be special subscriber offers and prices within the show, for example merchandise, off roading and other goodies.

Q Hi there are 3 of us which will be going to show with 3 4x4's and we want to camp could you tell me is it poss and how much

A Camping pitches will take either 3 adults and one vehicle, or 2 adults and up to 4 children and one vehicle.
The other vehicles will cost £20 each, one will probably fit on a pitch dependent on you tent/caravan arrangement, and the other will have to be parked in the camping area parking area.

Q Hi, nice to see you are moving from the Billing site  to Newark as last year we said our Billing  days were over due to the fact we had our new Caravan Awning Slashed and all our food and Games stolen overnight, which cost me a few hundred pounds to replace the two slashed panels. Before I book up I would like to know what your caravan pitches will be at Newark? The reason I am asking is I do not want to tow our new caravan across a plough field to set up and cannot afford to buy another Awning if the same happens as at Billing.

A I am so sorry to hear of your experience last year at Billing Aquadrome, It is experiences such as these that forced us to move from the site, Billing is unfortunately not a site worthy of the showpiece Land Rover event of the year.
The ground that the camping is on is well drained and flat. You will arrive at the pitches across tarmac which is part of the original runway that skirts the site.
The camping area is designated for campers only, visitors vehicles will be the other side of the showground. We are confident of having good security at Newark as it will be manageable compared to the aquadrome at billing, which has poor site security and easy access from numerous angles.  We will therefore be able to, and endeavour to, make the show as safe and secure as possible.

Q What is the latest time that campers are able to enter the showground each day?

A Anyone camping is advised to enter the showground by 10pm.    Anyone arriving between 10pm and 8am will be held in the campers parking area until marshaling commences.

Q I would like electric hook-up for my pitch but my friend does not, are we still able to camp together?

A The layout of the camping area is such that electric hook-up pitches will be marked out in rows, evenly dispersed among pitches without hook-up also marked out in rows.  This will allow greater flexibility for all attending.  However, camping pitches will be obtained on a first come first served basis and therefore those arriving earlier in the week will have more flexibility than those arriving later.

Q There are a few of us in a group, are we able to book camping pitches together ?

A Camping in groups will be on a first come first served basis.  We cannot guarantee that friends and groups will be able to camp together, however people camping earlier in the week, Wednesday for example, will naturally have a better opportunity to pitch their tents and caravans as a group.

Q I want to come to the LANDROVERmax! show early, can I camp on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the show?
