New Recruits Support Growth of WilSon Energy
We are delighted to welcome new members to the WilSon Energy team.

Due to the significant growth of multi-utility domestic apartment metering projects,  Liz Woollams has been appointed to assist within our billing and bureau services operation, Barry Starling is now responsible for supporting and developing our automatic meter reading data collection software.

Pete Hayward has joined the company as Finance Manager.

Kings Cross Project
WilSon Energy has recently been awarded a contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of a complete domestic metering system on a new developement in the Kings Cross area of London. A total number of 154 apartments will be metered for heat energy and data collected via a MBus network, including a mechanism for automated billing.

Following an assessment by an independent organisation, WilSon Energy Limited is delighted to announce that we have been successful in achieving ISO 9001 certification.

This internationally recognised prestigious award for quality is an international standard in use, worldwide as a bench mark for quality.

The award recognises our commitment to an exceptional quality of service. With only around 3% of UK’s businesses holding this certificate, WilSon Energy Limited is now at the forefront of quality service and customer care.

Calum Murphy, who undertook the assessment for CQS Certified Quality Systems, paid particular tribute to the investment of people and training that enables WilSon Energy Ltd, to provide an efficient service to their customers.

The Dragon Descends on the Hornets’ Nest!
We had the privilege of meeting entrepreneur and star of BBC televisions, Dragon’s Den, Theo Paphitis as he officially opened our offices at the Newark Beacon Centre. Several council officials, dignitaries’, investors and sponsors also attended the event.

Three local would be, business inventors, presented their ideas to Theo and two other local business leaders, in the “Hornets Nest” which was Newark Beacons version of the Dragons Den and a competition held by local newspaper, the Newark Advertiser. In all three instances, Theo commented “I’m out”

Optical Readout Device
We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed official distributors for the Xemtec range of metering optical sensing devices and data collection systems. The XPS60 can be retrofitted to any gas, electricity and most water meters that don’t already have a pulsed output facility.

The device can be supplied as part of a complete AMR system, using a local radio network, through to a central data concentrator, with communication by GSM or PSTN, to bring information back to a remote point. Alternatively, the unit can be supplied as stand-a-lone device with a pulsed output facility, which can connect directly to any BMS or other data collection system.

Cost savings can be achieved, thus avoiding the need to replace non-pulsed meters.

New Wireless Technology
State of the art wireless metering technology is being offered by Wilson Energy. With a range of up to 3KM in direct line of sight situations the system is modular and can be used with a range of inputs such as; pulse, analogue and 0-10V etc. Individual radio transmitters, which if required can work in conjunction with a repeater unit, sends the signal to a central concentrator unit, which then exports data by GSM/GPRS.
