Exercise And Sound In Education

A Developmental Movement and Listening Programme

for all who are involved with children in the early years

at home and school , or further up the primary school.

 

Researched with funding from the General Teaching Council of Wales,

This course will cover the theory and implementation of a programme to stimulate   good balance, co-ordination, and listening skills in preparation for learning, as part of the  DPA’s Early Years Initiative.


Cost £130 to include manual with planning notes etc, CD and refreshments

DPA Conference      Help! Services for Children

Newark  September 10th 2011

Aim of conference  was to inform parents and  professionals of how people of different areas  offer different services but can come together to help children 

Attended by teachers, other professionals & parents.

Featured clinical psychologist Sue Goulding on Attachment disorder, Dr Malcolm Levinkind on Paediatric dentistry & sleep disorders, Carol Mannion on Waldon Mathod, Irene Cunliffe SENCO sharing excellent results of South Bromsgrove High School and interventions used, Fiona Theokritoff homeopathy, telling of work with client,in conjunction with other practitioners including Gwyneth Jeyes with Listening training & Primary Movement and, traditional medicine, to produce great result for client.

One day  DPAQ conference  'Children Matter'    September 2009

–attended by teachers, psychologists, therapists, other professionals & parents. Research and case studies provided overwhelming evidence that listening and movement developmental programmes enhanced the maturity of the children and raised levels of achievement in schools. Most of the delegates joined the Developmental Practitioners Association , www.brainshift.co.uk and would be working together to highlight the use of developmental programmes to aid those with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, DCD, ADHD, autism and those underachieving but without label.
