TM are now offering real time reverse auctions to secure the best available electiricty and gas prices. Buyers can watch the progress of the auction as it happens, see who is bidding and the progress of the bidding right up to the close of the auction. The emphasis for prices has now moved from obtaining the best price from competing suppliers on any day to determining the best day to request prices.

This service is now available from TM and during the lead up to contract renewals buyers will be fed market forecasts, information and advice to assist them determine the best day for TM to host the auction.

100% Free Energy Surveys
TM are able to offer all companies, regardless of size, a free energy site advice in support of the Governments drive to reduce Carbon Emissions.

For the first time, a Government backed scheme now provides a full 100% free consultancy survey advice to assist in reducing energy expenditure. The funding covers for accredited energy professionals to visit site to carry out a hands-on study, undertaken to provide you with a report and action plan for savings implementation.

TM are already accredited to work under this Government backed scheme, and we have extended experience in such surveys for companies of all sizes and industry sectors. Further grant support is available for specific project work stemming from these site audits.

Carbon Offsets

TM are pleased to offer a selection of validated and proven carbon offsets as a first stage in reducing your carbon footprint. We can offer offsets for all or part of your carbon footprint for a fraction of the cost of engineering the reduction, and is aimed at meeting the immediate requirements of your business. We then put in place an engineering and management programme to reduce the carbon footprint, while at the same time reducing the requirements for offsets. This is contrary to the "recommended" way of reducing your footprint, but in practice is a far more effective and leads to a long term programme  to reduce carbon emissions.

Carbon Reduction Comittment (CRC)

Legislation due January 2010

In 2009 (next year) companies consuming more than 6000mWhrs per annum and who are not covered by a Climate Change Agreement or the EU ETS schemes will be required to purchase carbon credits equivalent to the their projected emissions in 2010. The permits will be purchased from the government at £12.00 per tonne, equivalent to around 10% of your energy costs and will be required for all energy requirements i.e. electricity, gas, oil etc.

At the end of 2010 participants are required to submit a detailed record of emissions for all sites that they operated during the year and a league table will be published ranking participants in terms of their carbon emission reductions. The money will be returned to scheme participants on a pro-rata basis dependant upon their league position. The same process will be required the following year and every year thereafter.

For many clients we will simply enhance our current data systems to cater for the legislation, for others we are able to offer a complete costs effective package to determine their requirements, purchase the credits, monitor performance and submit annual returns.
